We keep what we need to run Hikaru — accounts, watch progress, and basic usage signals. We don’t sell your data.
What we store
- Email, display name, and auth credentials (hashed passwords or passkey keys)
- Watchlist, progress, reviews, and comments on your profile
- An anonymous trending cookie when you’re logged out
- Aggregated playback quality beacons (no raw stream URLs in logs)
Your stuff
Delete your account anytime under Account settings. Need an export or a correction? Message the mods or the site operator.
Cookies & local storage
Session cookies keep you signed in. Theme and player prefs live in localStorage on your device.
